How to Use Vital Earth Organic Lawn Dressing Recommendations

• In early spring and/or autumn, spread 6-12 litres Vital Earth Lawn Dressing evenly over each square metre of lawn (1-2 gallons/square yard) using the back of a rake. This is equivalent to a layer of 6-12 mm (¼ - ½") deep
  
• For best results, spike or hollow tine the lawn before application, using a fork or a machine. Working the Lawn Dressing into the holes stimulates new root growth and enhances response
  
• Spreading the Lawn Dressing evenly will help fill hollow areas and prevent high spots

 

What to Expect

Within 2 weeks, the lawn will green up. Then the lawn will gradually thicken up as new shoot growth and root growth are stimulated. Resistance to drought, weed/moss invasion and wear and tear will be enhanced.

 

The natural long-lasting nutrients in Vital Earth Lawn Dressing will maintain healthy growth for most of the season. Unlike certain chemical fertilisers, it will not encourage excessive growth and extra mowing!

 

Bare Patches

Vital Earth Lawn Dressing will help the lawn to fill small bare patches without special action. For larger bare patches (5cm or 2" diameter or bigger):

 

• Break up the compacted surface with a small fork
• Apply 6mm (¼") Vital Earth Lawn Dressing to the area
• Sow an appropriate type of grass seed to match existing lawn as per instructions
• Water thoroughly
• Protect from birds and disturbance using mesh or similar
