Vital Earth Organic Garden Compost is based on specially composted garden wastes to sustain strong healthy growth in a natural and long-lasting manner. Vital nutrients – such as phosphate, potash and trace elements – are released over many weeks in accordance with soil conditions. Such natural slow release sustains strong root growth, flowering and fruiting and keeps foliage green and healthy for at least 8 weeks. Being rich in humus, it conserves moisture, stimulates soil life and discourages plant diseases.

 

 

How to Use Vital Earth Organic Garden Compost

Planting Trees, Roses, Shrubs etc.

• Soak the root-ball in a bucket of water
• Dig a hole approximately twice the width of the root-ball
• Mix Vital Earth Organic Garden Compost and soil 50:50, place the plant centrally in the hole, refill, carefully firm in and water well
• During dry conditions, place a 2cm layer of Vital Earth Organic Garden Compost in the bottom of the hole and water the layer well before planting
  

Improving Soils

• Vital Earth Organic Garden Compost benefits all kinds of soils.
  
• It helps to lighten heavy soils and make them more workable.
  
• It improves the structure of light soils, enhances water-holding, reduces loss of nutrients (leaching) and stimulates beneficial soil life
• Apply a layer at least 2cm thick and fork in thoroughly

 

Feeding

We’ve taken care of that for at least eight weeks. Thereafter, apply Vital Earth Vitalizer Natural Fertiliser to keep your plants, growing strong and healthy.

 

Suggested Quantities for VE Organic Garden Compost

2cm layer - 2.5m2 (eg 1m x 2.5m)

5cm layer - 1m2 (eg 1m x 1m)

 

Gardening Advice

• Ideally, use within a year of purchase
  
• As with all gardening activities, please wash your hands after use and/or wear gloves
  
• Re-seal bag when not in use
  
• Store in a dry, frost free place, away from weed-killers and other chemicals
  
• To avoid danger of suffocation, please keep this bag away from babies and children
