How to Use Vital Earth Planter / Growbag

To use your Vital Earth Planter: simply shake the bag to loosen and spread the contents. See planting and watering instructions before use. Don't forget your Vital Earth Plant Food – naturally long-lasting – for great tasting crops from only one application.

 

Cut out the three panels on top. Tomato, pepper and aubergine plants should be in flower when planted. Water thoroughly after planting (4.5 litres/1 gallon). Support tall/climbing plants with strings or stakes and ties.

 

Plant Care - Individual to Crops

Do not allow to wilt or become waterlogged. Train the plants as they grow to maximise air circulation and light penetration. The bag contains enough Vitalizer to feed tomato plants well for at least 4 weeks – longer for other crops. Thereafter, feed your Planter with Vital Earth Organic Plant Food.

 

Watering

Water thoroughly but take care not to waterlog the bag. The bag is moist enough when water just squeezes through your fingers in a clenched fist. When 3 tomato plants are well-established they may require a gallon or more water per day during sunny weather.

 

Feeding

We’ve taken care of that for the first four to six weeks. Thereafter use Vital Earth Organic Plant Food to keep your plants healthy, beautiful and fruitful. With tomato crops; once the first truss has set, apply 100g (4oz) Vital Earth Organic Plant Food near the base of each plant and water in. For best results, repeat after 2 months.

Best flavour!

Tasting trials showed that tomatoes grown in Vital Earth Planter / Growbag have better flavour than those grown in a leading peat-based growing bag and those purchased from 3 supermarkets.

 

Gardening Advice

• Ideally, use within a year of purchase
• As with all gardening activities, please wash your hands after use and/or wear gloves
• Re-seal bag when not in use
• Store in a dry, frost free place, away from weed-killers and other chemicals
• To avoid danger of suffocation, please keep this bag away from babies andchildren

PLEASE NOTE:

This product is not suitable for ericaceous plants such as Rhododendrons, Azaleas, Camellias, Heathers and most Acers. Use Vital Earth Ericaceous Organic Compost
